Odiwuor replaces suspended Kevin Ouru in goal

The lads will take on Posta Rangers this afternoon at the Kasarani Stadium Annexe, and the squad for the 3 pm kickoff has been named.

Only one change has been made to the team that beat Ulinzi Stars 1-0 at the same venue last weekend, with Daniel Odiwuor coming in for the injured Kevin Ouru in goal.

It is Odiwuor’s first match for the club since joining at the start of the campaign from Bidco United.

Ouru was booked in the Ulinzi Stars match and has accumulated five yellow cards hence will sit out of the Posta Rangers match.

Ian Omondi, who has played every minute so far this campaign, will resume his role at the heart of our defence and will partner Sammy Imbuye. John Nyawir and Fidel Otieno occupy the flanks.

Steve Kimari is named in midfield and starts back-to-back matches for the first time this season. Brain Ochieng’ captains the side while John Mark Makwatta leads the line.

Makwatta was our match-winner against the Soldiers as he enjoyed an exciting start to his Mathare United tenure. He will have fellow new signings Isaac Omweri and Mike Oduor in support on the flanks.

On the bench, there is a place for new signings Harrison Amalemba and Benson Shikutwa, who signed this week from Musingu Scorpions as well as Daglas Mokaya.
