Okoth leads attack as Ouru seeks seventh clean sheet
Mathare United will host Sofapaka FC on Wednesday at the Kasarani Stadium Annexe, and Coach John Kamau has named an unchanged lineup for the 3pm kickoff.
The lads will start as they did against Bidco United last Friday, with young forward Dennis Okoth yet again tasked with leading our search for goals.
This is Okoth’s fifth start in what is his debut season with Mathare. He will have club top scorer Elli Asieche, Paul Kinyanjui and Musa Masika for support in attack.
On the opposite end, Kevin Ouru, who seeks his seventh clean sheet of the season, maintains his place between the sticks with Sammy Imbuye, Ian Omondi, Francis Kayugi and John Nyawir lining up ahead of him in defence.
Brian Ochieng resumes captain duties and will be at the base of a two-man midfield alongside Brian Ouru.
On the bench, youngsters Dennis Mukoye and Dennis Ng’ang’a wait to see if they will make their Mathare and Premier League debuts.
