Kamau goes for attack against the defending league champions

Mathare United is set to take on Police FC this afternoon in the Premier League, and the team news for the 3 pm kickoff at the Police Sacco Stadium has been confirmed.

Seeking to lead his charges to back-to-back victories for the first time this season, John Kamau has made three changes to the team that started in the win over Kakamega Homeboyz last weekend.

Musa Masika and Paul Kinyanjui, who both came off the bench against Abana Ba Ingo, have been handed starts as rewards for their impressive contributions.

Masika, who is slowly returning to full fitness after missing the start of the season with a knee injury, earns his first start of the campaign and is deployed in a wide role on the left side of our attack.

Though he did not score against Homeboyz, Masika, who topped our scoring chart last season, played a key role in both of our goals at Kasarani in a similar wide position.

Kinyanjui occupies the right flank, and the two sandwich Donald Ange, who retains his role as our man on top after scoring his first for the season last weekend.

Peter Oudu is the other change, and he starts in place of Brian Ouru in central midfield.

Fidel Otieno, who was a menace in defence against Homeboyz, starts a second consecutive game for the first time this season and is part of an unchanged back five that includes Kevin Ouru, who seeks a fifth clean sheet of the campaign.
