Orako scores late winner for Shabana
It was not to be for Mathare United on Wednesday as Shabana FC scored late at the Nyayo Stadium to secure a 1-0 win in a fiercely contested Premier League fixture.
With the two teams seemingly heading for a share of the spoils, Shabana scored with virtually the last kick of the game when George Orako headed in a corner in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
The win marked the Galmour Boys’ first win against the Slumboys since the fixture was first reprised in the Premier League during the 2024/25 season after almost 20 years.
John Kamau’s men, who had picked up four points from their previous two matches, remain in 11th place with 26 points.
