The club is delighted to confirm the signing of Adams Nyambane from Nairobi United.
A defensive midfielder who can also occupy a fullback role, the former Nyambaria School Alumnus is our second signing from the NaiBois this midseason transfer window, after that of Isaac Omweri.
“I am privileged to join the team,” Nyambane said upon signing his deal “When I got the call to come here, I did not hesitate because Mathare is a big team and I have always liked the way the team plays. I hope I can be a positive impact on the team as we seek to finish in the top five.”
Nyambane is our fourth signing thus far this window and is our first defensive acquisition after our first three signings bolstered our attack.
In reacting to this latest addition to his side, John Kamau said, “We are trying to build a setup that is strong in every department. Creating balance within the squad is key, and we cannot just look at only one area to strengthen. Adams is a player who has a lot of quality, and his versatility is a big plus for us.”
Nyambane, a Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering graduate from Kenyatta University, is switching clubs for the first time. He joined Nairobi United after graduating, when the club was still in Division One, and has been part of the team’s rise to the Premier League and ultimately the CAF Confederations Cup this season.
