It is the first time that Oduor and Coach John Kamau are working together

Mathare United is pleased to confirm the signing of experienced winger Michael Oduor.
The former KCB FC, Tusker FC, Wazito FC and Sofapaka FC player joins us as we seek a strong finish to the 2025/26 season.
On signing for the club, Oduor said, “I am delighted to be part of this club and to be back playing after spending the last few months inactive. I want to thank the coach for believing in me, and I want to repay his faith by being productive with goals and assists.”
It is the first time that Oduor and Coach John Kamau are working together, and the gaffer shared why he believes the winger, who can occupy any role across the attacking front three, is the perfect fit for his team.

He said, “We have struggled with scoring this season, and this was a major reason why we have looked into the market to find solutions. Oduor is an experienced player who gives us a big presence in our forward line and alleviates some of the scoring burden. Finding one player who can score goals isn’t easy, so we are looking to spread the scoring duties, and we might add one or two players.”
Oduor has been unattached since parting ways with Tusker after the conclusion of the 2024/2025 season. He, however, has been training with the team in a bid to be available for our first match of the New Year this Saturday against Murang’a Seal.
At United, Oduor links up with former teammates Mohammed Kilume, Brian Ochieng, Elli Asieche and Musa Masika. Oduor also had current goalkeeper coach David Okello as a teammate at KCB.
