Maeri nears return to full fitness after knee injury

Boaz Maeri is gradually getting back to full fitness after an ACL injury last November.

When Boaz Maeri joined the club midway through the 2023/2024 season, one of his biggest desires was to play in the Premier League. At the time, the club was competing in the second-tier National Super League (NSL) and just months later, he would get his wish as we would end up sealing a return to the top flight.

To start the 2024/2025 season, Maeri was one of nine players who earned their Premier League debuts in our season opener against AFC Leopards. He started the game and would go on to feature in our first six fixtures before an unfortunate ACL tear ended his season. This was last November, and he hasn’t played since.

His journey back to full fitness has been gradual, and he was finally able to take part in a full training session last week, much to the delight of everyone at the club.

The central midfielder is targeting a return at some point this season, and we all can’t wait to have him back.

We sat down with Maeri after our season opener with Posta Rangers and share the below interview.
