Ouru is set to battle it out for a starting spot with veteran goalkeeper Robert Mboya

Mathare United is pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Kevin Ouru on a one-year deal.
Ouru joins from FKF Premier League team Posta Rangers who he played an integral role in their survival last season.
This becomes Ouru’s third stop in his professional career. He joined Kariobangi Sharks immediately after clearing his O-Levels at Kakamega High School and played four seasons before his switch to Posta Rangers last year.
Said Ouru:
“It is a great pleasure. It is something (joining the team) I have been longing for. Mathare plays the game the way it is supposed to be played–visually pleasing football with purpose. This is why I had the desire to be a Slumboy, and it is now a dream come true.”
The former Green Commandos player made the second-most appearances between the sticks for the Mailmen last season and kept four clean sheets, the most important of which came in a 2-0 victory over Naivas that set them on their way to winning a two-leg relegation/promotion playoff.
Ouru, who is set to battle it out for a starting spot with veteran goalkeeper Robert Mboya, becomes our third signing this transfer window.
