Gaming firm 1XBET has been officially been unveiled as the new principal shirt sponsor for Mathare United men’s team.
In the unveiling ceremony held on Thursday, 12 June at the United Club Hotel in Nairobi, Club CEO Jecton Obure described the moment as a “new dawn” for the Mathare United fraternity.
The one-year deal, with an option to renew, will earn the club USD 160,000 (Kes 20.6 Million) and will see the 1XBET logo emblazoned at the front of both the home and away playing kits for the men’s team for the entire 2025/2026 season.
The sponsorship has already been operational with the men’s team donning 1XBET printed jerseys in our most recent game, a 1-0 Premier League victory over Ulinzi Stars.
Obure said, “Choosing to partner with a team that was recently promoted to the topflight shows the belief that 1XBET has in our club. I term this partnership as a new dawn and one that allows us to go out and achieve our dreams.”

1XBET is an online betting firm founded in 2007. With its headquarters in Cyprus, 1XBET also partners with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as well as prestigious European clubs Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
